An extremely rare form of light display - lunar corona, where the strong light of a full moon shines through very thin cloud, creating a crown of light circling the moon. I noticed this very faintly one evening, and so despite the late hour, grabbed my gear from home and headed into Cambridge, keen to record this phenomenon over some of the more famous landmarks there. In this shot, I positioned myself so that the full moon shone behind one of the spires, creating this ghostly effect....
