No More Pigs...

By AlexandraSD
Another image from yesterdays shoot, in a well lit area, i still used speedlights, one to the left of me in an 80cm octobox, the other behind me, bare flash, top step.

Having fun with this strobist lark, though i realized i have not got nowhere near enough rechargable AA batteries to keep me going for long, i gotta buy some more Wink

I think the little light behind your hair is a great addition - really does seperate you from the background wall Smile
I also think the tonal range through the image is spot on.

Re title ... well, I suppose instead of 'No More Pigs' you could have utilised the wonderfully worded slogan below that bottom step .... ?? Hmm?? No? Oh okay then Smile
Still, at least the little sods who wrote it managed to spell 'off' correctly ... schooling ain't for nowt, ya know!! Wink

Ahhh, i forgot that step had offensive language on it, but as you pointed out, even the swear words have good tonality Wink

I like the hairlight too, though maybe too strong, makes my hair look messy but it kinda fits this image, i think if my hair was neat and straight and not highlighted like that, i would look too tidy, as it is i look dishevelled (had to google that word cos i thought it was spelt disevelled lol) and it fits the surrounding decay.

Still got a long way to go with the lighting though, im reasonably happy with this but its still not perfect, adequate maybe!

I like this Smile
The hair light is a little bright but in the correct place.
A nice bit of bling on your wrist to add a touch of Lexi glam!! lol

Be using hairlights more often trust me lol i like the effect it gives, partly the reason i shoot portraits into the sun a lot, but indoors highighted hair looks more noticable, i could probably have set that flash to its lowest power setting but its hard to see on the back of a camera Wink
