The Fishermans Hut, Dungeness Beach

By derekhansen
A shot I think that captures the Enigma of this debris and wreck strewn shingle beach on the south east coast

Chernobyl in the Ukraine comes to mind Derek. A superb composition which for me is so very haunting.

Clever use of the panorama to capture so much of the mess on the beach, Derek GrinGrin It does look very much like a nuclear wasteland in front of the power station, but what exquisite lighting. Beautifully done.

Well I left a comment just as it went down - and surreal was the word that came to mind when I first saw it.
Seeing it here as a pano brings a different dynamic - it breaks into two separate images quite easily.
The light, colours and detail of course are all excellentSmileSmile

Quote:the fishermans hut

Not so much a hut, more a collection of planks held together by nets!

Makes for a super shot though, and the pan crop works really well.

Derek.. A superb pano, has everything that says 'Dungeness' - quite an apocalyptic feel with the moody light!

Surreal, wasteland, environmental holocaust all come to mind. This is the widest view I have ever seen of this place, and I think I would love to see it one day.

Colours, and light and clarity are perfect Derek.

Well I thought the last take was good but this tops that, I can see much more on this one and it is very interesting.

Really like this - so much going on and beautifully photographed.
