Water Drop Cliche

By KTrueman
I know water drops have been done to death. But it because of them that 2.5 yrs ago i got into Photography. This type of photography consumed all my spare time for months.

This is red dyed water dropped into a tray of plain water.

Thanks everyone for the commenting on my piccy.

digitall - I know it doesn't look sharp on here but its only a low res image that i have uploaded. Its always a problem with water drop shot.....where to place the focal point on the collision. I generally place it about 10% into the actual splash...that way you get a better DOF so the back of the splash looks in focus as well.

Very good, Since your a new member, welcome!

One this to keep in mind, - when you re size you image and save as new file name, dont upload yet. First open the new file, - check its sharpness (it will probably have loast from a little to a lot), sharpen as needed, then save, then upload.

Check out the member csurry for excellent water drop shots and also techniques.

Hope this is helpful, and have fun on the site.
