"There were so many others that I wanted in the Top 4 – it was so difficult to chose!
"1st place goes to Jason Long. We think this covers the idea of the subject of the senses the best. It shows, in our opinion, that the author has understood the subject. The author has shown a novel way of displaying the senses and, I believe giving a suggestion of a sixth sense! He/she has shown a good ability with their photo editing package to create this image from numerous other images.
"Alex B takes 2nd place. This photograph covers the sense of TASTE better than any of the others. What an expression! The idea is well thought out and the photograph well executed. The boy's expression and hair standing on end, really gives you the feeling of a bitter taste.
"3rd place goes to Joggie Van Staden. This photograph has been taken in such beautiful detail and colour. Its wonderfully sharp and exposed really well. This typifies the sense of SIGHT.
"Gav Harrison really shows the sense of TOUCH in our 4th place choice. Well composed and executed it shows that the author thought about this subject and even though the picture is "Simple" is has been well thought out. The depth of field, this close in, is very small but it helps the viewer to 'get the point'! The plain background also helps to concentrate the viewers eye to the subject."
