Week six of Vanguard's eight-week long competition is over which means an award-winning Alta Pro 283CT tripod will soon be on its way to our latest winner. The theme for this competition was 'portraiture' and again, you didn't make the judge's job easy. Many that were shortlised were worthy winners but it was TakaraDancy's 'Madeleine Roses' that really stood out from the crowd.
It's a well taken portrait that really 'pops' from the background thanks to the shallow depth of field and the use of a burnt orange shawl that really grabs your attention. The subject appears to be deep in thought and you're left wondering what she's thinking and what's grabbed her attention just out of shot. It's a well-executed photo that makes you ask questions and is well worthy of winning first place.
Well done to the shortlisted and thanks to everyone else who entered.
