With 593 entries, this competition with its water theme is the second most popular one we've run. The entries produced the stereotypical shots along with some really interesting takes on the water theme.
The winning image by Jaka Adamic is one such shot. It's already got an ePHOTOzine Editor's Choice award and now takes the first prize for this competition, well done Jaka for a very well captured moment. It reminds us of the type of shot by Henri Cartier-Bresson.
Second place goes to the creative genius Danny Warburton. A self portrait view from under water of him dipping the razor blade certainly makes his shot stands out from the crowd - much the same way that his portfolio stimulates new thinking.
Third place is from one of our better known landscape photographers Adam Burton, with a photo that has also received an EC in the past. It demonstrates good compositional skills and use of slow shutter speed to blur the waterfall.
Forth place goes to a previous competition winner, Steve Le Prevost, who provides us with a thirst quenching bottle shot. Great bubbles Steve!
Congratulations to the four winners and the shortlisted members. Bad luck all the rest and better luck with the next competition which has the theme flowers.
