The DPS provides help and advice to the disabled to allow them to either take up or to continue with photography in all forms. This can take the form of the provision of equipment or specially designed adaptations or advice about such adaptations.

We hold quarterly and annual competitions as well as an annual exhibition of our members work. We also award distinctions to those whos work merits them.

We run various studio days around the country for our members.
