John Riley reviews the SMC Pentax-M 75-150mm f/4 Zoom vintage Pentax K mount lens, with the full-frame Pentax K-1.
I bought mine from Fotoskoda on Vodickova when I lived in Prague. Before my entry into digital, my SLRs had been Zenit E, Praktika TTL and Pentax ME Super. So I wasn't phased by having to focus manually or setting the aperture etc. I've been using it on my Pentax K500 most recently for covering my local non league football club's matches. In bright, daytime conditions, I've used my Sigma zoom quite happily, but for floodlit games, the fact that the aperture stays constant, is ideal for me. I've upgraded to a K3 and it will go on there too.
The lens feels great in all respects. Very solid, smooth, looks great, to me, has a metal mount, and is well worth getting to know. Put a little bit of work in, and it will reward you.
