Love it. :D

This is my first Digital SLR, having moved up from compact digital cameras (Kodak and Sony). Upon retirement, I decided to invest in a really good camera and my timing was such that the 60D was just being released to the market. It seemed to have everything I was looking for and more. While the price was a little over my budget, the features and quality more than justify it. It handles beautifully, feels good and solid in my hands, and I continue to marvel at the quality of the images it produces. Those 18 MP really prove their worth when cropping or enlarging, and the ability to shoot in RAW really expands the possibilities. The software provided, by the way, is excellent.
Though I primarily use the viewfinder ( I'm old school, having cut my teeth on an Olympus 35mm SLR many years ago, the swivel LCD monitor is a real plus when shooting in awkward positions (over your head, very low to the ground, for example) and that big 3' screen is great for reviewing shots. Plus you can close it completely into the camera back to protect the screen.

All in all, a real value for my money. And I haven't even Touched the video abilities yet Can't wait! :D

This is my first DSLR after using a Pentax analog camera.. I must say it's a very good camera.. I know the 7D might be slightly ahead but I still prefer this camera.. The swivel screen is awesome.. Making me take shots from unimaginable angles.. The quality of the pictures and videos is very good. I've never regretted owning it for a day. :)

I bought this 60D second hand 3 months ago as a temporary replacement until my other camera was repaired. However I liked it so much I have decided to keep it. Handles nicely, well constructed, feels robust, great picture quality for Apsc format. I started using RAW but found jpegs are very good straight out the camera.

My main camera is a 5D mk4 and I find as long as I don't intend raising the ISO above 800 and I don't need to focus quickly I generally reach for this camera. Probably because of size and I have good EFS lenses. I have been photographing wildlife with this camera and canon 100-400 mk 2 lens and been very pleased with the extra range and the results. In fact I think a little bit better than mk4 with 1.4 tele converter and cropping full frame. (ISO obviously better with mk4). Nothing scientific just my observations.
I don't use video or live view very often.

So all things considered it is still a very good camera 9 years later and can be bought cheaply. Yes there are better cameras but if you use it within it's limitations I'm sure you will take some great pictures.
