Fuji Finepix F100Fd Digital Camera Review

Fuji Finepix F100Fd

The Fuji Finepix F100Fd is a 12 megapixel pocket, digital camera with a 5x optical zoom lens. The lens has a focal length equivalent to 28 - 140mm on a 35mm camera making it a wide angle lens. This is especially suitable for landscape photography and photographing groups of people. David Tymon from Cameras.co.uk has reviewed.

Probably the best small point and shoot I've used so far. Have tried about a dozen models from Canon, Kodak and Fujifilm over the last few years.
Although it's only a 5X zoom, it starts at 28mm and is useable up to about 4X digital zoom (about 574mm). The Image Stabilization is almost as good as on my Canons. Autofocus is reliable and I'm happy with colours and exposures under natural lighting. Under tungsten, it is too warm, unlike the Fujifilm J110W which we also have. This is easily fixable with one touch of the auto-adjust colors button in my simple photo editor program. With the latest firmware update, it accepts up to 32GB SDHC cards. I set ISO800 as the highest Auto-ISO, but need to post-process out some grain when using ISO1600.
