Tamron has a long warranty on the new lenses. I believe it is 4 or 6 years. I sent them an email. -

It will work. The camera should enter it's crop mode though so you will effectively only be using half of the sensor. -

If it's an Exakta fitting, there's one on eBay that seems to be for M4/3. If it was me, I think I'd be rejecting the lens as wrongly described due to the lens fitting tho...
