1.4 teleconverter with Tamron 70-200 f2.8

8 Sep 2015 8:49PM
Does anyone have experience of using a 1.4 teleconverter with the Tamron 70-200 f2.8 (the older non VC one) on a Canon 70D ? If so, which converter ? I'm reading that teleconverters tend to be a bit brand specific with possible compatability problems using the Tamron lens on a Sigma converter.... Any guidance please ?

I've not had any experience of that combo, but I think Kenko teleconverters work with any brand of lens. They also tend to be the best priced. I'm using a Sigma 150-500+Kenko 2x MC7+Canon 600D with no problems. Go for the more expensive MC7 as it's better quality than the cheaper MC4.
