20d vs 30d

i found a second hand 30d and 20d on MPB photographic. but i wondered if there are any major differences if not then i can get the 20d and save loads of money on lenses

have a look at DPreview to see differences.

and dont forget DXOmark which shows the 20d having a slightly better sensor than the 30d!

In real world shooting nah not really. Slightly bigger buffer, bigger screen, picture styles, 1/3rd stop ISOs - may be important but they aren't true ISOs.

If it were me I'd save the money and buy glass

Right its something that I am hazy on but...

basically they are created by software. Something along the lines of the camera actually captures at a full stop ISO then processes to give you 1/3rd stops. I know that doesn't sound convincing but its a whie since I read about it. Some people believe it is better to shoot at a full stop ISO then to recover in Photoshop.

Depends which has been used the most/condition/actuations etc......the 20D an older model. 30D has slightly better spec

on MPB the 30d is 320 without lens and the 20d is 250 without lens

I think you should go for the Canon EOS 30D it's only 50 or so more than the 20D and the 30D's better specs are worth the extra cash.
