you're coding for an error/exception that would never happen on EPZ though... may be true in the real world, but just need to satisfy the customers needs.

Don't want to be guilty of Scope Creep do we Wink

Quote:It the image quality test (the one that really matters) the Canon 5D came ot tops in the AP test

I've read the article and I can't see anywhere where it says that. In summary it says:
"Three years after its introduction it [the 5D] still offers the best detail resolution of any Canon DSLR apart from the EOS 1Ds Mark III, and at low ISO speeds it is at least a match for anything that Nikon has brought to the market."
So the 5D set the benchmark for IQ in ISO 100-800, and now the D700 has improved on the IQ for ISO800+. Sounds reasonable to me.

CB following your argument why would anyone buy a 1DSMKIII?

The D3 and 5D/5DII are different cameras for different intended uses. Not only that but only a few people can afford to change camp, so the comparison for 90+% of users is totally irrelevant.

Well Im reserving a 50D tomorrow. I may get a new 5D too but the 50D is appealing enough for me to want to buy it.

The price isn't really an issue ... it's a worthwhile upgrade as a back up over the 40D so a couple of hundred quid isn't going to bother me either way.
