Interesting. There are two such flower attractions near me Snowshill Lavender Fields and the Confetti Fields. Both advertise around the optimum time and provide parking, an entrance fee, and refreshments and sales. They also make a higher charge for professional photographers with models or wedding pictures. To be fair the scale of these businesses are probably much smaller than Provence but I do wonder whether Provence could learn a lesson here. I have no idea of the finances of either of the UK companies but I do suspect that they make more money from the visitors than the flowers directly. Because you know you can park and it is well signposted, it is easy to be attracted the these organised events though they have other flower fields which they do not mention and presumably do not get trampled.

I recognised the name immediately, Paul is a Phase One Camera user.

I am down in Sussex / Surrey area and opening up Lavender fields has become quite popular and probably makes quite a bit of money for the businesses both with entry fees and the " refreshments" / " gifts "
