I was thinking of Epson Premium Semi-Gloss Photo paper before I get my printer profiled, the paper will mainly be for landscapes, anyone know any alternatives that might be better before I make the purchase?

cheers

Hahnemuhle Photo-Rag.
If your landscapes are good this will show them off to their full.
Not cheap, but worth every penny extra

Most professional landscape fine art is done on Epsons Ultrasmooth Matt 250gm, Steve. Gives a very high quality exhibition finish and the archival figures are excellent, plus it's one of the few matt papers on which it's possible to get a good 1440dpi print.
Another plus is that Epson's RW Watercolor profile matches this paper perfectly.

John, thankyou for that I will check it out.

Keith, I was thinking of using the archival matt for the matts, I take it ultrasmooth would be better?
Are you saying the RW watercolour profile prints perfectly on the ultrasmooth, and does that mean I wouldn't need to get a custom profile for that?

thanks

Ultrasmooth just gives a better finish, the RW profile works fine and Epson have released a profile for the smooth as well...you may need to tweak slightly but it would be fine straight out of the box.
Which printer....if it's wide format I have a good supplier in the NW of Select's range of fine art papers.
