I'm after the holy grail of printing, good but cheap canvas prints. I've been asked to supply some images to a local shop but thier suggested price is lower than what my normal supplier can work to...... cutting to the chase i need a supplier who can print A4 canvas images at a cost of 20-25 ?

any ideas gratefully received

A4 is a horrid size to do on a canvas, the corners are tha same size as a 24x16 and the waste of canvas from a 24" roll is high.
Work out the costs
4 Bars at @2.00 each (roughly)
Epson canvas at 3.00/foot
Ink at same as canvas
Time to stretch etc

Comes to a lot more than 20-25

Show your local shop this breakdown and let them still tell you you are too dear

can't suggest A4 but if you want an A3 for 27 then then this lad does an nice job

(I've used him + several of the folks in my camera club have - consistent good results and fast, responsive tunr-around)

The trouble is these shops want them dirt cheap as they need to compete with stores like Next. Next sell their canvases so cheap because they buy in several thousand (probably from China) so get them printed cheap.

When you are selling one or two you just cannot compete on price.

should be /canvas.html not .htm Smile

great site and service - i just had a look and soon as i have money in my life i am most definitely going to have my creations done like that - i like the idea of my images at A1 - printed on acrylic is something i havn't seen before but looks interesting.

These people can do a 12x8 canvas for 20

Or maybe produce your own? It is not as difficult as you may think. You can produce a 9x6 canvas from an A4 printer, or an A4 canvas from an A3 printer

I can do an A4 canvas print for 20 (that's roughly 8"x12"). Send me a PM and we can discuss it further if you like.
