Advice requested re: monocular telescopes

Being in my late 70s I have taken the decision to part with my DSLRs and lenses. I am now happily left with my Huawei P30 smartphone and Panasonic FZ1000 Mark 1. I am intrigued by the apparent benefit of monocular telescopes which can give a much larger reach when fitted to a smartphone. There are many advertised but one that catches my eye is the Apelex Monocular Telescope which has a 28 times zoom. I have seen that advertised for £ 28 on My Memory and just wonder how good that is. I am just asking for any assistance an EPZ member can give me in relation to that one or others that may well be better to buy. Also the smartphone with telescope can be used with or without the aid of a tripod. I have an old Calumet tripod which is quite substantial but the Manfrotto ball head is a little loose. Anyone who can give advice re: a replacement ball head please do so. David
