Some time ago I purchased Affinity Photo from the EPZ website.
In January I changed my internet provider. When I tried to open Affinity Photo today I get messages telling me that it is not supported on this network.
Has anybody else had similar problems?

Not heard of this problem before.
If nobody here can help, I would suggest posting on the official Serif Affinity website forums..

(For the sake of clarity, even though the software was purchased via ePZ, we merely provide a link putting potential buyers in touch with the seller, we do not directly sell the product.)

I would suspect that this is a problem either with your router or the set-up on your OS. Is there a problem with any other software you use?

cannot help as I do not use Affinity Photo

do not understand though, how changing an internet provider would cause an issue with using the software ?

It does not make sense. I have Affinity and updated it yesterday. it is fine but I cannot see how changing you ISP could make any difference. Could you try re-installing.

Just ran Affinity again this morning and it offered two choices Repair or uninstall. I opted for repair and after a few mins it came up with an OK which then resulted in Affinity ending. I tried again but the same thing. On the third occasion I opted for uninstall which it did and I then re-installed. It did run after this. However, I only ran it to investigate the issue raised in the next thread. I find Affinity a real pain to use compared with PS.

Back in the days when you could buy Photoshop, it would have cost you six hundred quid or so.

I've got sufficient loose change in a drawer to be able to buy Affinity.

There's a reason for that.

Iím getting to like Affinity for iPad.... but I need to explore file sizes further....

Once you have worked out where every thing it, it is an excellent photo editing suite.

All Affinity apps are currently available with 50% discount as an initiative to support the creative community during COVID-19, from affinity.serif.com.

Buy Affinity and you'll still have some sou left in the drawer...

I've already got it Malc.

I bought it a couple of years ago; it was going for peanuts then.

Actually, that was the main reason that I bought it.

I never paid anything near that for PS but it cost me around £100 p.a. to pay for updates (not every year either). It now costs me around £100 p.a. for the Adobe Photography Suite so a bargain in my view. I bought Affinity because it was half price via ePhotozine just out of curiosity and to evaluate. If I was not able to use PS any more, I would probably have to live with Affinity but given the choice I can continue with LR/PS. I do think Affinity is excellent value but still deficient and more difficult to use though I accept that the latter one would eventually overcome though practice.
