Not fry an egg in the usual way… but press the bottom of a glass into the top of a slice of bread, put that in the fryer basket, then break an egg into the depression. Set fryer for two minutes then check until done to taste.
YouTube is by far the best place for amazing air fryer recipes ..we have two air fryers with another air fryer/oven on order… our gas guzzling main oven is redundant now.

I have an air fryer that my daughter purchased but it’s small and I do t think it’s a good one so do t rally use it, a work colleague has a Ninja foodie and says it’s fabulous - baked potatoes in no time! I do have a halogen oven which is similar and I’ve not used the oven since l!
Mine is good for frozen chips, cooked very well in very short time. For meat pies & pasties, at recommended settings it burns the top and the cooking is best finished off in the microwave. If the pie is in a foil dish remove it before microwaving.
We have just been looking at different air fryers - a Lakeland dual air fryer, at £139, is out of stock. Argos seemed to have the same problem re stock. It would appear that there is a rush for such machines as it is claimed they save money, rather than relying on a gas/ electric oven.

It seems as though stocks of air fryers are non-existent at the moment. Even checking main brands home sites show that they are waiting for deliveries.
Still no luck locating where I can buy such an item.
HOWEVER, be warned about the following, UK-appliance(s) .On Tuesday I discovered their site and a Ninja dual basket was offered at £133-00p.; a saving of £60. Ordered it online, and their email confirmed my order. Since then I have tried to contact them by email and phone. (Their phone no. is a mobile phone, and all you get is go to voicemail) Two subsequent emails from me have had no replies from them.
If you google that firm and find reviews on Trustpilot, it seems to be a scam site.
So,....that has meant a trip to my bank today with help from the staff to see if any money has been taken from my account. At the moment I have not been duped, but I will be watching things closely.

Because our 40 yr old oven has a leaky door seal. I did a little research then purchased a the larger type of airfryer.
It is a PRINCESS AIRFRYER/OVEN ….it looks like a regular drop down door oven that fits on a countertop….it has dozens of auto settings plus manual if preferred…
Cost circa £175 via Amazon …. With this appliance you are not restricted to a single basket, but a mini oven with sliding racks, a rotisserie basket and revolving spit for small trussed chickens or joint…
The oven pans and racks are circa 9 inches square overall, working area 8 inches by 8 inches…
It is reasonably quiet, and works well ..there a hundreds of airfryer recipes on YouTube….
I have no connection with and manufacturers or sellers of this oven ….which is saving us money on a daily basis now…
It is well worth a look.
