Alison Morgan, Cattyal, RIP

I'm Yael, Alisons younger sister.
It is with great sadness that I write this post on behalf of our family.
Last Friday we lost Alison suddenly to natural causes.
Please be assured that Ledley is safe and well.
I know that EPZ was a huge part of her life, and she made many friends here - I'm so sorry not to be emailing good friends privately, but I would honestly have no idea where to start wading through her extensive contacts list, so I hope you will forgive me taking this approach.

I am at a loss for words. I heard the news earlier today, and am still in shock.
I am privileged in that I met Alison two years ago, when she was kind enough to show my wife and I her favourite bits of The Cotswolds.
Here on ePz, she was our Illustrious Leader, (All Hail!) running the two weekly challenges of macro and b&w.
They will live on in her memory.
Alison, her photography and her Daves will be sorely missed...
My thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.

I concur with Malc and it is such a shock to hear this sad news.
She ran both of the challenge groups and always found time to post an entry or judge the entry's. Even when the number of entries for the Black and White Challenge group dwindled to around three a week she kept the group going and got it through a bad patch.
I will spare several thoughts for Alison, her family and Lesley this coming festive season and we will all miss her uploads in the gallery and interactions in the forums.

Dear Alison was a stalwart and much loved member of EPZ. I always looked forward to seeing her pictures, whether they were of her garden, flowers or insects. And who could forget the bandage and stocking years! An accomplished and inventive photographer, and such fun too. I loved it when she got the Daves out, or found yet more ghoulish artefacts on her shelves to shoot. And, of course, her beautiful cat Ledley who she loved so much – I so glad he's OK . I also followed her on blipfoto for many years and she never skipped a day, always managing to come up with something, be it her redecorated kitchen or a bee box. I, and many others on here, will miss her so much. She left us many memories through her work. Much love Alison, and my deepest condolences to you, Yael, and all her friends and family.

I'm very sorry for your loss Yael, Alison was an amazing encourager when I joined ePhotozine her energy and zeal for unique photographs had me and many here trying to emulate the quality and ideas that she imagined into reality. I'm so sad her time has come so early she will always be remembered here for her dedication and passion to share beautiful images.
