Andy Dippie - Farewell.

I was privileged to attend the funeral service of a good friend today and a friend to many of us here on 'EPZ'.

Whilst Andy wasn't a 'Founding Father' in the commercial sense of the site, he certainly was when it came to being a member (and a professional at that) who would offer advice and encouragement to others - including me. I first joined this site in 2003 and I remember Andy always 'being there' as, indeed, many of you too will remember.

His wife, Jasmine, and the whole family were there at St Mary's supported by ex-colleagues and friends alike. Yes. There were tears. But there was also an enormous amount of laughter - particularly when Jasmine was recounting anecdotes and tales of their life together!

Andy's final trip will actually take place tomorrow, Tuesday 9th July 2013 when he will be buried at sea off the Isle of Wight.

Rest well my friend; you are returning to the bosom of the sea that you loved so much...

I can only echo Mike's comments above, just a shame we had to meet under such circumstances Mike, and your right there was a good sprinkling of laughter.

A man who was held in high regard by those who had the pleasure to know him and to be able to call a friend.

so sad, I would loved to have met him as like many others I admired his photography. What a lovely send off. Thanks Andy.

You said it all Dann.
Cannot add to what has already been said.
