Anyone know of retailer with 10D in stock?
Justin, just phoned my local shop, where I bought my 10D, and they have one in stock. (They also have the 300D.) It's only a very small dealer, so he's not the cheapest, but he's quoting 1250. That's not too expensive, and it's possible he might do a deal. (he might not mind, knowing how much in demand they are! 
) I asked him, he would post, if required. If you are interested, let me know. If I put up the number it might be snapped up by someone else. PM would be useful here!

They are a Canon dealer and were selling 10D's for 1300.00 last May when I bought mine. Everyone else was selling them for 1500.00 at the time. At that time Jessops had less than 10 in their chain and none in the Middlesbrough store which is why I went to Camera Mart. they claimed to have over 20 in stock in their single store and I walked out with one the same day.
I bought a G5 there recently and noticed they still had some 10D's on the shelf.

I was after a 10d for ages, I tried all the major suppiers no joy.
I went to Florida on holiday spent a day in Miami trying to find one, no luck.
I decided that I would get a 300d instead as no one could give me a date that they could get me a 10d. During my hunt for the best local price I could get on a 300d I walked into Dixons and what did they have on the shelf a 10D. I know the customer service will be crap if anything goes wrong and I know I paid top line for it but I got it and I love it!
Try your local Dixons you never know.

If time is not too much of a consideration, wait for the Mark II to come out - dealers will be almost giving away the Mark I !!
That is (pretty much) what I did with my current cam... bought it at about 45% less than its launch price. Mind you its successor is - as things have turned out - proved to be so poor that demand for my cam is oustripping supply at the moment... the price may start going up again. Lol!!
