Anyone used the Versa Trigger?

I had a club session the other night using sound triggers to fire off camera flash to shoot bursting balloons and the like and am considering getting something to have a go at home.

A lot of the kit appears quite expensive for what may be a quick play but this device versa trigger looks quite well specified for the price.

Always a bit of a sceptic I wondered if anyone had tried it and if so, what did you think of it?

Brian, I started development on one of these to make a business of, when threatened with redundancy several years ago. (Luckily I survived the cull), and not worth doing in spare time for the 3-4 a month I'd sell considering tax, product liability, WEEE registration, warranty etc.

My selling price would have been around that price - It's not worth making for any less until someone produces one en mass in China - so price wise yes, good value.

Well done to the Versa guys for making a go of it.

Will also send you a PM on some features you may want to check.

Hi guys,
I have used one and its use is just limited by my imagination and time to experiment. You can have a look at some of my images on my website www.cholseypix.co and there are some links on the versatrigger site to some amazing splash art pictures.

Regards,
Pam

Hi,
VersaTrigger is currently being sold direct through the website www.versatrigger.co.uk. I am married to the designer and we had a stand at this year's Photography Show in Birmingham to promote the original trigger and launch the wireless version. It was great talking to fellow enthusiasts some of whom already had one and others interested in buying.
If you have any questions about the trigger the contact buttons on the website will email us. There is a lot of info regarding specifications, prices, manual and customer endorsements on the website.
By the way, I closed my cholseypix website a while ago but you can see some images if you search for the VersaTrigger group page on Flickr.

Kind regards,
Pam

Recently purchased the versatrigger that came with the cables for my K-3. Have only tested this item indoors with the microphone and it appears to work. I have also had a cable sent to me for usingthe mike with the K-70 and on test found it works perfectly. Just neen to get a set up where I can use it for water splashes and such like. Main problem at the moment is the neighbours dogs barking very loudly Smile

I bought the VersaTrigger in 2018 and it worked well with my Pentax K-3 and set of cheap lights. I have since moved on to Olympus M1 mark II and am hoping I can obtain the remote cable for this camera. I won't be buying an Olympus Remote at a cost of £59.99 plus p/p. Hope this helps
