Are you a fair weather photographer?

I don't mind saying that I am a fair weather photographer now. My cameras (apart from a slightly wonky Olympus TG 82) are not water resistant in any way. The TG 82 gets dunked in ponds occasionally.
I do not mind the cold if it is dry cold. The coldest I have used a camera (Canon AE-1) in is -30c in the Arctic in December, but I was younger and fitter then.

Blizzard coming in from the North!

I would not say I am a fair weather photographer but I would like weather and light to suit the subject. Storms can be great for landscapes and seascapes. For people shots outside or birds in flight full sun is the worst. Ideally for these a hazy but bright sky is ideal. You then get some light under the birds and people are not squinting or showing dark shadows.

Thanks, "straight out of camera mate"!

It was shot during a 6 hour session in one of the major named storms a couple of years ago.
One of the lads in the original image made some comment about it being a "war zone out there" which provoked me into having a play.
The action really was that mad and its basically just had a cloud filter applied then been goosed with too much haze reduction, sharpness and saturation
went down well with those in the shot though

No - but would be by choice - cycling event.
