Apparently David Beckham might be KNIGHTED in The New Year's Honours List.

Mind you he should get some kind of reward for looking so HOT in his pants...Wink

Wouldn't it be funny if at the ceremony the Queen knighted him and in the BG a voice said 'For services to the Realm and looking mighty fine in his pants'......i like him....and his pants.

Dont disgree with this I think he has been a credit to himself, football and the country -- more than one can say about some other awards. Colin

Sadly that photograph is just another example of Photoshop trickery - David's face was added into the image afterwards.
Luckily with my contacts in the industry I've managed to find a copy of the original image:

I hope this never happens.
It's "celebrity" culture gone mad. There was a time when getting a knighthood realy meant something.
Admittedly, Beckham's never brought disgrace uopn himserlf or his country but what has he actually achieved? He's a washed up footballer who's found a way of converting his footballing fame into being yet another vacuous celebrity who's famous for just being famous.
I hear Simon Cowell's in the frame too and whilst I'm told he does quite a bit for charity, would that still qualify him for an honour if he wasn't plastered all over our TV screens and newspapers? Again, it's the "celebrity" culture.
