I had a new pentax k-x for christmas and was wondering if it is usual for any cameras to be slower at focusing when they are in live view? it is also i little louder in live view, i think the noise comes from the in body image stabilisation feature. It isnt much of a bother to me because i will only really use live view when im getting a shot of something where i need the camera low down on the floor, and there for a slow focus wont necessarily be the cause of me missing "the shot" so just a queery and a discussion about focusing really Smile any input is very much welcome Smile

LiveView (contrast detect) AF is always slower than normal (phase detect) AF.
