I have a Nikon D810 camera and have set it up for BBF, it works fine when I use the 14-24 lens and the 24-70 lens. But I fitted the 70-200 lens on 2.8 G11ED VR and it does not focus with this lens fitted onto the body.
I would appreciate any help as to why it will not work with this lens fitted.
Thanking You.

Is it just since you set up BBF; did this lens previously focus OK? There does not seem to be any logical reason why a different lens should matter unless the lens is manual focussing or set to manual.

Probably best to hope for a comment by someone with that particular camera and lens.

Have you got the focus selector switch on the lens set to AF-L?

This locks focus when you press and hold the AF-On button, one of the 4 frontal focus buttons on the lens or the shutter button - until you release whichever button you are using to lock focus.

Thank you both Dave and Len, I have just checked the settings on the lens and the lens was set to manual , I took it of manual mode and it works fine.
Thank you both very much for your help.
