Back Cloth Colours

I have been asked to take photos of youngsters playing music in a rather scruffy pub.
They are using the photos for their website.
I have done it now 3 times and the stage is a problem as the walls are old and cracked and there is a an electric blue poster behind glass. So lots of fiddling round to remove the rubbish behind them
I have decided to make a banner to go behind them with their logo on it but havent a clue as to a good colour
Black was my initial thought but now dont think that will be any good
I would like some ideas please from people who use back cloths
Thanks Barbara

Personally I would use black, maybe you could ask the youngsters to come in their bright coloured clothing so that they would stand out well against the background! Carol

Hi Barbara, I would find out from them what there favorite colours are and then try and make a banner using that. Another thoughts, is to use a white background and then if you want to replace it with a different one in PS it makes that easier to do if they are shot against a white background. Hope this is of help.

A plain medium grey/mottled grey, and sometime lit with colour gels works well for me.
