Back to the future with an old E-600

After having my old E 600 in storage for many years due to using other brands and models, I decided to dust it off charge it up, check it over and take it out on a sunny day landscape trip. Attached was the fab Zuiko 14-54 F.2.8, that's the only lens I still have for the E system. I still have my old E-510 with broken card door, but that's another story
Using just Jpegs on large super fine setting I was blown away by the colour pallet and detail, it put my Sony A-58 to shame, Its only 12 mp, and the Sony is 20 mp Its old and new technology, The Sony has a far better exposure and curve and tech than the Olympus, but for colour, the E-600 wins. I have some thoughts on the Olympus M/4/3 cameras, but for another time

I had the 510 with a broken door as well, loved that camera, traded in for EPL1 with attachable evf for portability again superb colours and sharp images, still got the superb14-54 f2.8 that I use on the em10 ( adapted via Mike adapter) gone over to Fuji's now but still got Em10 can't bear to let it go as it's a fun camera to use with superb out of camera Jpegs due to IBS ideal to use my old OM film era lenses.

I had an EM-10 Mk 1, took great Jpegs but I found the small body a bit cramped when up at the eye, difficult to find the buttons.
I'm not totally convinced Olympus moving over to Sony sensors for their M/4/3 cameras was a good idea, The old E cameras used Panasonic sensors which were best for colour. I had a Panasonic GX7 for a while, superb bit of kit, but I wanted small but APS-C cropped, so traded in for a compact Canon M5 including an FS adapter, Fuji got my interest but the lenses were beyond my budget.
I put some super invisible sellotape to hold the door shut, An idea some one on this site advised me to do, just down load by USB, Fuji and Olympus are the kings of Jpegs

Panasonic were always the go to camera for video, from all accounts Olympus are not doing well and are in trouble, they have been losing users who have jumped ship to other brands mainly for APS-C and FF. I don't count my very old E cameras, but I jumped from M43 to Canon for the cropped format. I wanted small but APS-C so got the Canon M5. I have yet to find a camera that gives as lovely colours as the old Olympus E cameras, Probably Fuji.
Trouble with Full Frame you need good quality and expensive glass to do the sensor justice.
