Be logical or not?

16 Apr 2011 7:06PM
This morning i sent a photo of a orchid flower with a glass" boat" and a pair of ducks. I took the easy way out and used photoshop {=gimp} to make a reflection of the glass "boat" with the flower in the water. As i did not take photoes of the flower and the glass boat from the back side the reflection in the water is not logical .My questions are: 1] Do you have to stick to logic when you do photo manipulation?
2}Is there is a clever technical solution to this problem if we choose to stick with the "truth"?

manipulation can be whaterever appeals to your own mind.

as for the reflection it shoud be underneath the boat, the same as the reflection on the ducks. (logically that is)

the clever part is to just reverse the image of the boat and pin it on the bottom of the boat, you already have more knowledge on how to blend the images in than i would be able to do, so i hope this helps.
