I think you will find that these are being sold as budget products, not quality. For example they were the Tesco 'Everyday Value' range.

In the War time we all had Horse Meat in the Butchers' Shops -- no problemo - those people who complain would be very pleased to get Horse Meat if they had been in a Japanese or German Prisoner of War Camp !
