BenQ ScreenBar Monitor Light

Hi, I asked the same kind of question on another forum also just in case someone spots that
Looking at a BenQ ScreenBar Monitor Light, I have there monitor with a hood but sometimes find it hard to see when post processing my images, more the slider amounts, I read a long time ago that a monitor hood helps deflect ambient light from the screen and makes it easier to see but after reading about these monitor lights wonder if it maybe a better option?
Ino there are other makes of these lights and some a lot cheaper than the BenQ ScreenBar but from what I have found out the BenQ ScreenBar has an auto dim sensor when the ambient light changes.
Of course the other question would be if you use one what setting do you use to allow you to process your images easier especially when it comes to the colour side of things.
Many Thanks,
Russ.
