best place for pics in the Lake district
Hi everyone,
I was thinking of going up to the lake district next week and just wondered if anyone had any tips on the most picturesque views / places

For sheer grandeur its hard to beat Wasdale but if ease of access and nice reflections are what you're after then Derwentwater is a favourite.
Ashness Bridge is a classic tripod hole location.
Borrowdale is nice. Time permitting go through Coniston and then take 'The Old Rake' a road that takes you up through Dunnerdale etc. Stunning views, very untouched (not many pics on here from there) lots of owls up there too. The Lakes a lovely place.
My tip would be to have a good drive around Wrynose and Hardknott Passes, and maybe Duddon Valley.

lots of streams and stuff, but apart from Blea Tarn, you'll not find much there.
The passes in the lakes are often the best places to head to if it's bad weather too, you can go from a rainy valley to a really impressively lit one in no time

thanks everyone - it's actually stunning 'greenery' that I am really after - (although I'm sure I'll be getting lots of water shots too)

If you haven't got a car then Borrowdale/Derwentwater is a good bet. Water taxis, buses, well-maintained walking routes and lots of deciduous woodlands.
I will be travelling by car so we could get to places by road etc

Dales or Moors ? Two different places. I think you mean the Dales, in which case if you still want greenery then Wharfedale, around Bolton Abbey is a good option.
Chris Maddock produced "The Lazy Photographers Guides" which cover many great locations less than half a mile from road access in various parts of the country.
