Hi, what strap do you use on your Sony a9 or other mirror less camera when attaching to the Sony 200-600 lens (not the camera) thanks. Russ

"Peak Designs Slide" on Nikon Z7 with Tamron 100-400.

Cannot say which is the best as I have not tried all straps.

but I use the Peak Design " Slide " on the camera body & their " Leash " on the lens itself.

Apparently it is a good idea to have a strap in the lens in order to minimise any stress on the lens / camera mount point.

By the way, it is a great lens, as you probably already know Smile

Hi, thanks for the replies, peak design sling is looking good as I intend to use it on the lens rather than camera body, thanks again Russ

Copied from an thread on DPR.

“When using the adapter with lenses weighing over 1300g. (2lb. 9oz.), support the lens when holding the camera and do not use the camera strap.
Failure to observe these precautions could damage the camera lens mount.

This refers specifically to using a long lens on a Nikon Z with an FTZ adapter but the theory remains the same with any long lens/body combination.
