Best time to buy

I have a Pentax K10D which has recently suffered damage. As Pentax have announced the K3, the price has dropped/is dropping/?will drop? for the K5 II, which is my obvious replacement. (Can't afford the K3)

Anyone got any thoughts/experience/knowledge on the optimum time to buy an about to be replaced camera body? The price seems to have dropped down to around £650, but I am wary of leaving it too late and finding all the stock has disappeared.

Welcome any thoughts.

The K5 II or IIs are both superb cameras, I use a IIs, the II might drop further, but how long do you wish to leave it , if its what you want and you've the cash, go for it, you won't regret it, especially upgrading from a K10d

They may not drop that much in price. I agree with the above, if you've got the money go for it now.

If you're only after the body, here's an example from amazon.
