Black and white landscapes

Well long time no see, hope you are all keeping well in these difficult times.
The last few years has seen my photography diminish somewhat, not that its stood still just evolved.
My life has changed out of all recognition (for the better) so hopefully no more bleak composites.
I have been doing a project that will continue, however that is something I wont post until Im happy with where the project is going.
The reason for the post, is Im moving back to my first love in photography, black and white landscapes. But Im looking for inspiration. I think I know (and captured) many of the iconic locations. Now I want to set myself a challenge try and find other locations, that allow for either a freer style (hand held) or extreme long exposures. (Would be great to explore both styles at the same location)
Id be interested to see work of anyone that is producing similar or ideas of locations anywhere in the uk. Any ideas most welcome.

Have you ever come across Fiona Larkins Nick?
Lots of selfies in landscape settings as well, all very atmospheric, brilliant stuff.

Re. processing (which you haven't asked about) Robin Whalley uses Lightroom to process the colour image and then goes into Silver Efex which is brilliant for local enhancements. My point - you don't need to go anywhere that special to produce fantastic b+w landscapes.

Steve O'Nions likes very gritty black and white landscapes and often uses film.

Mean and moody!

Hi Nick,
Wistmans wood Dartmoor looks good for a b+w landscape bucket list. Below is Neil Burnell's take in monochrome green.

With such a complex, mist would appear to be absolutely essential, to get a good composition there.
(Anyone going there - take care with ones footing amongst the rocks).
