Body paint!

No, not what you were thinking!
I recently purchased a "pre-loved" camera body which had a couple of areas where the black paint had worn off the edges.
In an attempt to disguise the damage, I used black "Setacolor by Pebeo" which is an acrylic paint designed for use on light fabrics. To my surprise and satisfaction, when dry, it has a sheen comparable to Fuji and Olympus camera bodies and the repairs are virtually invisible after two light coats of paint. It also shrinks slightly as it dries so there are no visible brush marks.
I originally purchased the paint to repair a canvas focal plane shutter curtain on an old camera - for which purpose it is very successful, maintaining flexibility and complete light blocking after 4 or 5 coats.
I bought the paint from Amazon UK. Good stuff to have around!
