On the epz banner headline today, CPG are offering brand new Canon EOS 6D's for the discounted price of £250 delivered.
Is this a case of "If it seems too good to be true - it probably is"?
I was tempted to buy one and convert it IR - but the alarm bells are tingling gently In my ears.
I have bought other goods from epz banner headlines and have been very pleased with them.
Update - very worrying aspects to their site as well.

Hi Barry - I've made the guys in Editorial aware of this to look at.

Hi Barry,

Thanks for letting us know - we've reported the advert so it should stop appearing on the site.

As I understand it, the ads on ePz are via a third party who should deliver advertising in line with our requirements and stated restrictions, and just occasionally, a rogue slips through that third party's net.
However, I have asked Editorial to confirm this, or alternatively, correct my response if it was incorrect.

Thank you saltireblue and Nikita - much appreciated.
1. I did click on the banner headline and the camera immediately went into the shopping basket.
2. The only way to pay was over the telephone.
3. They allegedly had over 10,000 positive Trust Pilot reviews
4. No other offers or products were available on the site - just the brand new Canon 6D for £250 and a phone number to take credit card details.

You're correct Malc.

As I said, we've also reported the advert so it should stop appearing on the site. Smile

This is another dodgy site, listing too good to be true prices:

And Canon Rumours had the same listing, the company website was only 6 days old and had a very low test score because the website was so new.
Likewise i'm convinced its a scam. I'd only buy stuff like this if a felt a payment intermediary was supporting them - paypal or Visa card etc. I'd not want to share payment details directly with them.

Gosh. Have they got any Phase Ones? Put me down for a Hasselblad as well.

Are they selling gold bars - 2p a kilo?

The alarm bells were ringing when I first saw the ad.
My biggest surprise was seeing it displayed here on the epz site as a banner headline and wondering if anything on here had been compromised.
The old adage "If it seems too good to be true.............." still holds true
Mind you those 'Blads are something special aren't they?
As for gold bars at 2p a kilo - I've got tonnes of them ready to go (once the gold Hammerite paint has dried) Grin
