You could try Adobe DnG converter ??......converts most RAW files to DnG format, which CS6 & Elements recognizes....it reduces
the file size a wee bit too, without any apparent reduction in image quality.....I use it quite a lot !!.Smile

Hi banehawi
The files I could not open were from my wifes Nikon D3200 that I used the other week. The files new and old from my old Nikon D300 open fine. I had a new PC just before our last winter motorhome trip and might not have opened any D3200 raw files before so did not know they would not open in my copy of Photoshop CS6.
All working ok after I put the new raw D3200 files through the Adobe DNG converter.
Have put a B&W image on EZ tonight ,please have a look and a vote would be nice Ha Ha LOL.Wink
Thanks
John

Adobe do not support newer cameras in their older software. You have to upgrade.
DNG converter is a good workaround.

Try what Fma7 suggested.

D3200 is by no means a new model and is supported from 7.1. But if its using a card formatted by the D300 it may cause this problem

Sausage,
you are right it a good workaround have done a couple of images using the DNG converter all now ok.

Banehawi ,
They are different cards in both cameras the D300 is still using Compact Flash cards, the D3200 uses SD cards.

And thanks for the vote its now got a award... I have other images that could do with a vote to get over the 29 mark ...Ha Ha lol
