Haven't thought of a name yet but the new baby is doing well. Father is very proud and looking forward to the sleepless nights. Another is due soon.

On a serious note - if anyone else is waiting for one I will post some initial thoughts some time next week (if you are interested of course)

git Wink

although I'm allright - I'm avoiding Calumet like the plague at the minute.

I'm afraid if I get my hands on one the business plan to buy later in the year will go out the window Wink

Very nice. Lucky chap.

You didn't buy from Mifsuds did you Barrie? I spoke to them earlier (I'm waiting on a 10D) and they mentioned that they had just sent one out.

I understand a lot of DSLR users actually like nice soft images. They call it 'RAW' I believe.....

Sense of humour failure, Bobby.... yet AGAIN??!! :-O

More seriously, I think it is pretty well known that DSLRs do produce softer pics at the default sharpening setting. It is intentional.

Having just returned from Prague I appreciate the ability of RAW mode. The light was very strong and the ability to adjust this after the event is great. Why do all cameras not come with RAW?

Carabose can you think of any amateur or pro camera released in the past year that does not offer a RAW mode. even Sony offer a mucked up version of RAW. :0)

Barrie good luck with the new toy. It's well out of my price range.
