Would someone like to help an idiot?

When trying to complete the registration for the cash back on 30D IS Double Zoom kit, I’m confused as to which bar codes to supply:

1. The Bar code from the outer box “8 777777 777777” or the longer code underneath of “(91)1111B111(92)AA”

2. On the 30D camera box, 1111B111[AA] which is on both a stuck on label and printed on the box , the Bar code of “4 999999 499996” or the references starting “(21)” both of which are on the stuck on label.

Could anyone point me in the right direction of which number to quote?

Just quote the one on the sticker and if that dont work try the others, one will do it.
I normaly cut them out and post them on myself as it saves the hassle of trying to work out which is right

It tells you on the Canon website to cut the whole barcode of the box.

I was confused as well. I cut out the one on the right side of the box (above the small picture of the camera) and also sent a scanned copy of the other 2 barcodes as well as a short covering letter; I also got a certificate of posting (doesn't do much but just adds weght if anything went wrong).

Thanks everyone,

Their website wasn't helpful as it says you need to register the bar codes and then asks for serial numbers.

When you "register and print it", it simply seems to print the pages you've just filled in complete with the terms and conditions. There's no obvious form to send back to canon so I guess I'll photocopy the lot and bung everything in post and keep me fingers crossed.

Simon, your last message brought back the experience. I, too, could not get the on-line form to work, at first. It was last Christmas that I completed everything so my memory is a bit vague now. I think I did submit the forms on-line but the print-out wasn't right and I just sent the whole lot with an explanation. Interestingly, the website said 6 week wait but it was all sorted within about 3 weeks at the busiest time of year. I also sent a thank you letter - good luck but I am sure it will be OK. Chris

Once they recieve your application, they email you a submission ID number. You then go to the website that they tell you in the email and you can check the progress of your claim.
