Canon EOS 50E LCD panel

Canon EOS 50E
Anyone remember it?
Decided to clear out my fridge of film, raided a cupboard for the above.
Fairly refreshed on how to use it, apart from one, albeit trivial thing.
I can't see how to illuminate/backlight the top LCD screen.
Any helpful advice gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

found this online, maybe it might jog a few memories

did it illuminate?, I have always had Nikons since that era and I don't remember my N series ever lighting up but canons might have

Many thanks Darren,
I have already looked at MIR but as you can see in the link, no mention of how to?
Nowt from the Canon history museum either.
Batteries are good, just received half a dozen on Monday, tried the same battery on my EOS 3 - came up as good.
I'm beginning to think as you say that era didn't offer that feature?
It's been a while 10years? Since it's seen the light of day.
