I have had this camera for about 4 years and used it occasionally as a backup to my 5D Mk 3. A couple of weeks ago I went to use it and it dosnt turn on. Screen is blank as if battery was dead. I changed to a fully charged battery but still no joy. I sent it off to a company called Fixation for a repair quote but sadly they advise me they cannot do anything as parts are not available.

Its a shame as the camera is mint. Any suggestions?

It is always sad when our beloved electrical items fail.

Try popping online to MPB or similar and buy a replacement, with the move forward in technology prices for second hand equipment are affordable

About £160 for a Canon 60d

Have you ensured that the battery connections are clean which is a common issue when leaving batteries in a device for a long time.

Hi Dave, Thanks, that sounds like a possibility. I have asked Fixation to return it to me and I will try that as soon as it gets back here. Regards, John

If repair still needed when you get it back I recommend Johnston's in Glasgow , they are excellent.
