Anybody seen or tried the G7 yet.
I saw it advertised in Jessops for £448 but then saw it on Amazon for £306.

Amazon show a 4-6 week dispatch time which from past experience means that haven't a clue when they will get them.

Edit have a look on a few other shops have it for the same price but might have stock

A friend of mine got one last week , and I had a mess around with it at the weekend. Was a little bigger and heavier than I expected, but a lovely compact all the same. Image quality is great, and it has a wonderful screen, and is packed with features. I want one myself when I have the cash. Only drawback is that it does not go as wide as some compacts, and it doesn't do RAW. Apart from that it's a cracking camera.

19 Dec 2006 9:53PM with whom I have dealt in the past satisfactorily say they should have stock on 20 Dec, price stated is £309. Fancied it myself but have used RAW which I have come to like on exisiting camera so its absence on the G7 might put me off it.

Got my dad one for a birthday pressie as he's not keen on PC's (or RAW) so it's best as jpeg only. Qualities amazingly good.

I have a G5 and last night I saw the G7 in MediaMarkt in the Hague... looks quite small...

Image quality from my G5 is pretty good so I am sure G7 will be as good if not better.

Got mine from - delivered in about 3 days.

Its a great little camera, good quality images so far although all done indoors as its so dark out! Menu system is easy to get the hang of and the lack of wider than 35mm can be overcome with some creative image stitching I suppose.
