Capturing Sunset On iPhone 8

Hi guys,
I’m away from my DSLR and was wondering how best to capture a sunset on my iPhone? I'm particularly interested in ensuring that the sun does not appear just as a burnt out blob etc.

Also, is it possible to avoid banding in the sky?
