I own CF cards only to use with my current DSLRs. Info on the specss of new model DSLRs, it appears that that hese new bodies use CF epress cards that appear to be geared towards movie making.
I currently have no intrest in video and a still am a stills fan. Question is, are CF cards interchangeable with CF express, if I were to get latest DSLR that accecpts CF epress cards only.
Thanks.

No, they are the same physical size as a QXD card and share similar technology.

Adding some more detail CF Express cards are about half the volume of being phased out CF type cards.

There are relatively few cameras sold new that take the old CF cards, and relatively few new cameras that can take full advantage of CFExpress cards.

In an appropriate camera body CFExpress Type B provide much greater all round performance - at a high card price point.

If you are thinking of upgrading your camera body you should consider which type of card it can use as part of the overall cost.

My medium is CF cards, of which I have several. I am contemplating adding another body and it appears to feature use of CF Express cards, hence the question as the eisting crop of original CF cards can be used. It appears not.
Thanks, keep well and safe., all

When you no longer have a body that uses CF cards there is a market for old CF cards on Ebay.
