Charitable Donation

My partner and I are relatively new to Event photography, we have been asked to photograph a kids football tournament over 2 weekends, it can be quite lucrative. It's a charity organisation so a donation would be expected on out part. What is the going rate, is it about 10% of the takings?
Many thanks

I don't know how anyone can answer this question.

Ask the charity

They've left it up to us to decide. We know the organisers as it's in our town, we did their event last year without any contribution. It was our first event and we spent out a lot on printer/mounts/lenses, they knew this so were very kind in giving us the 'gig' for free so to speak.

I don't see why you have to give a donation to them, I guess it's a way of them asking for a discount without saying discount. Whatever you give shouldn't be a percentage of takings but a percentage of profit, and a small percentage I'd say.
