The cheapest I can find on the web is 622.74 with Digital Rev (Hong Kong). Then there's my at 650. Their web site is registered in Kuala Lumpur so I suspect they're not UK based. Various others HK based are around 630 - 640. Cheapest UK price I can find is at 659 and also Bristol Cameras at 659. I can't vouch for availablity though.

I purchased one at Jessops recently for 698 (last one they had) whilst LCE didn't have any.

$1129.33 at Amazon (US), you can hire a US mailing address via Parcel2Go / DHL for 10 and then have it sent onwards to the UK. I don't know about the tax situation though.

Canon has a factory outlet on ebay. They auction cameras and other stuff that have damaged boxes and other minor issues - but the goods themselves are all perfect and come with the full Canon UK warranty. Take a look and read the info from Canon.

I bought a 30D for less than GBP500 and have since bought lenses. Everything is as new.

Why are you after the 30D? It's only marginally better than the 20D and for the price difference you could got a whole sack of goodies too! Try Ebay for a used one, there are plenty out there. Honestly, from what I've read/heard the 30D isn't worth the extra.
Best wishes,

There a re a lot of mixed reviews about the Ebay shop. It is not canon for a start.
Also they often bid the prices up themselves.

and a new 30D is worth a lot over a used 2nd hand 20D. I agree there is not a lot of difference, but then it is new V's 2nd hand you need to think on. and the 30D is the better camera.

There is a link to the Canon Outlet Shop on eBay from the canon UK website that describes the link to "our eBay outlet". So how come it's not Canon?

The site is run by a third party (Digital River). They are a very large and well respected outfit. Look them up in google. They are the exclusive authorised reseller for Canon UK refurbished items. Read the details on the site about what refurbished means. Under UK rules goods that are returned to the manufacturer for any reason - including damage to the outer box - cannot be then sold as new. Canon checks everything is present and then sells them via the outlet. All items have the full warranty that is sold with kit sold in a high street store.

I can also recomend the Dell outlet for cheap laptops.

Be careful, because I've seen a few cons on eBay - claiming to be a Canon UK outlet. The name is a variation on CanonOutletUK, and their prices are cheap. Just be wise.

Do a check on bidders, its amazing how many are 100% bidders on their items. Often the first high did as well

I agree.

Although still available new it's been replaced in reality by the 400D. Therefore it should be available cheaply, I wouldn't pay over 300 for the body.(You might find a silver one even cheaper). With the cash saved by not buying a 30D you could also get a battery grip (70 from Park Cameras)and a decent lens. (The kit lens is ok for practice but doesn't really do the camera justice).
